A 39-year-old woman is in serious
condition in hospital after being stabbed by her 48-year-old
husband in a supermarket parking lot at Seriate near Bergamo
north of Milan at around 9 am Monday.
She had previously reported him for domestic violence and the
term of a restraining order against him had recently expired.
A man who came to the woman's aid was slightly injured.
Italy is experiencing a wave of gender violence.
