The Senate on Wednesday approved a
decree authorizing the government to send more military aid to
Ukraine to defend itself from the Russian forces of invasion.
The decree was approved with 123 votes in favour, 25 against and
one abstention.
The opposition split in the vote, with the centre-left
Democratic Party (PD) and the centrist IV and Azione groups in
favour and the 5-Star Movement and Green-Left Alliance (AVS)
against.
