Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said
Monday he will meet his Syrian counterpart Asaad Al-Shaibani in
Rome Tuesday for talks on a peaceful and inclusive political
process in Syria.
"In Brussels I took part in the Conference on Syria 2025,"
Tajani, who is also deputy premier, said on X.
"Italy's objective is to work towards a peaceful and inclusive
political process that protects the security and rights of all
Syrian communities.
"Only in this way will we be able to strengthen the economic and
social stability of the country. I will discuss this tomorrow
with the Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, whom I have
invited to Rome".
